I’m Going to Nam!

by brian on November 26, 2008

Ok, I’m just going to pass thru the airport in Vietnam to get to Hong Kong. But it’s a way out.

Bangkok is not going to open anytime soon. I realized that when I went back to the hotel yesterday afternoon, took a nap and turned on the TV. They were talking about opening the airport at 2PM. When I woke up at 3PM, the ticker across the TV screen said, “Bangkok Airport Tower Under Protester Control”

No, that airport is not opening anytime soon….

I’ll check in with everyone when I hit Hong Kong.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US countrymen and women, whether you are at home or abroad.

Great Idea!! Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I awoke this morning – full term – 37 weeks prego that is… and thought tomyself that I am going to introduce my Kindergarten class to your blog. During Social Studies every week, we read a book called Wake Up, World which has introduced us to children around the world. Some of my kids like it and others ask “Why I have to read it to them?” It is a simple book with small passages and pictures which explain what the kids do when they wake up, get dressed, go to school, chores etc..It addresses poverty and the fact that these six year olds have very different lives from the privileged children that I teach. Anywho, on Monday we are going to read Wake Up World and I am going to end the reading with us viewing your sight and pics…We will call the segment: Where in the world is Brian?

Why not? Keep the pics of kids coming…I love it!!
