More Inside Views of Hostels

I realized I hadn't showed the recent places I stayed in.

First, in the truest definition of this blog, here in London I'm staying with my aunt and uncle. nodebtworldtravel.com at its very finest.

Everyone needs to start hitting up all those relatives in distant countries they haven't heard from in years and drop in a for a visit!

In Cape Town, South Africa I was at the Backpackers and African Travel Centre. First in a 8 bed dorm. Then in a 4 bed dorm the rest of the time there. Damage - about $15US a night. Great atmosphere, great patio and kitchen open until 10PM at night. Bar open until midnight.

All the rooms were named after African animals. I was the RHINO room my first few nights there.

In Siem Reap, Cambodia I was at the Angkor Dreams Hotel. Private room, fan, bath. $7US a night. That's right, SEVEN DOLLARS.

In Hong Kong I wish I had taken pictures. Completely slipped my mind. It was...different.

Bathrooms were all in one. So you had the toilet next to shower. Look at the bathroom above in Cambodia. Same thing in Hong Kong, except MUCH SMALLER. There is no tub for separation. Because space is at a premium everything is squished together. The floor is slanted at an angle to allow the water to go down the drain(s) in the floor.

Not horrible, but not great either. Damage in Hong Kong about $15US a night.
