On TripAdvisor they are running an article on the hotel rooms you want to avoid.
The Internet makes travel so much easier. Sites like TripAdvisor allow you to review hotels and accommodations by the experiences of fellow travelers. Why go to a bad hotel when someone else has been through the pain and suffering for you? Same thing with hostels, which I’ll write about later.
A few months back I wrote about Intrepid’s offer of 15% off a trip if you can prove you’ve been laid off. Well some other companies have taken the idea too.

Now is a great time to travel as everyone is cutting prices to keep seats filled. Don’t be afraid to ask if there is a discounted rate if you’ve been laid off or insurance in case you are laid off after booking.
Don’t be afraid to ask for any type of discount – period.
Just like the housing industry, the travel industry is a buyer’s market right now. Use that fact to squeeze every last drop out of your money.
