The quick questions:
Brian, are you really home? What happened? Is the trip over?
The quick answers:
Yes. Nothing, this was all in the plan. Not by a long shot.
I took off from Rome, flew to Amsterdam, then to London Heathrow, then to JFK, all within a 16 hour span, all under the cover of secrecy with only one other person knowing I was coming back.
The flight was great. Plane capacity is over 300, and there were only 77 people on board. I overheard the flight attendants talking, so I know the exact number.
To say that my parents were shocked to see me was an understatement. They got so used to me calling and saying, “I’m in XYX random location, love you, buh-bye!”, that the last thing they expected was to see me show up. Planned and executed to perfection.
All the people who owe me money, dinner…expect a call or email.
All my New Jersey familias who expect a visit…expect a call or email.
In the meantime I’m going to catch up with some emails and plot the course for the blog over the next few days.
And everyone gets a New York City postcard, even if you’ve lived here all your life. That will be fun…
I’ve got MAJOR plans for New York City and beyond, so keep reading…
