Bar44 played host to nodebtworldtravel.com and friends last Thursday and we had a blast! I arrived at 5:50PM and didn’t leave until 11:30PM.
A real special thanks to everyone who showed up and as instructed, brought their travel plans and stories and more importantly their good cheer and lots of laughter! No talk of financial crisis or economic collapses Thursday night….or at least none that I heard.
The question I heard most: What was your favorite place?
I’d say a toss-up between Tokyo and Paris
Tokyo because I stand out – and I enjoy being different in a foreign country.
Paris because of the all great history and culture on display.
But I would gladly go back to any place I’ve been in a heartbeat. Even making a choice of Tokyo/Paris is hard.
The funniest thing: No one recognized me because I put on a suit! Everyone is so used to the North Face gray fleece that I practically had glued to me that some walked right by me inside – even after seeing my face almost every day for months! They were expecting me to wear it. That poor fleece needed a rest and you’ll be happy to know it is at the dry cleaners.
