Portable Power For Travel Gadgets and Gear

The gadget freak I am loves to see this stuff. But after traveling so far for so long I know that gadgets get lost, or weigh you down. But I'm sure there is something you can find useful here.

The Power Of Compliment Letters To Airline Personnel

We give the airlines lots of grief for the things they do wrong. But how about giving airline employees some love when they go out of their way to do something right? It can make someone's day and perhaps make service better everyone else going forward.

The Britons Who Stayed Behind And Thrived In Hong Kong

Hong Kong was a city of contrasts. The mix of Chinese & British customs created a city that literally stands in the shadow of mainland China. Silence Beyond Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire showed a very fictionalized version of India. Fantastic movie, but this article shows the real story.

Looking for vacation? Try Afghanistan

Afghanistan? Really? Yes.

Discounts abound as Thailand tourism drops

Thailand still has not fully recovered from the protests of the past year. The Thai, lovely people and their coups are generally bloodless. Remember this about Thailand: Great people, cheap food, great sites and culture.

I didn't do much video while traveling because of my underpowered laptop. But with the prevalence of YouTube and other video sites, it is a great way to share your trip.

Slumdog depicted it pretty well, but the fairytale ending is not the case for most orphans. It keeps the Hollywood/Bollywood perspective in check.

Hey Brian...where are you these days?
